A heavy coated all position based general purpose electrode for major or minor structural work, The weld metal is of radiographic quality, smooth arc, low spatter and medium penetration.
APPLICATION:
Bridges & boilers, automobile parts, steel furniture, railway coaches, locomotive fireboxes, compressors, scooter frames.
CHEMICAL PROPERTIES:
Carbon - 0.05~0.90%
Manganese - 0.30~0.60%
Silicon - 0.10~0.40%
Sulphur - 0.03% Max.
Phosphors - 0.03% Max.
TYPICAL MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF ALL WELD METAL:
Ultimate T. Strength - 450~550 N/mm2
Yield Strength - 430 N/mm2
Elongation (L=5d) - 26%
Reduction in Area - 50%
Impact value at 270C - 49 Joules
